As a Yoga teacher, my classes blend traditional Hatha and modern Yoga, seeking strength, flexibility and harmony through both static postures and flows, breathing practices, meditation and other techniques such as mantras, mudras and chakra work.
I believe yoga is for everybody and I always encourage people to practise in a way that’s best for them. There are many adaptations and modifications we can use so that techniques are accessible and comfortable for all.
I first discovered Yoga as a teenager and have had a regular and evolving practice for 25 years, studying under a number of teachers and in different styles.
I gained my teaching qualification (Diploma: Yoga Teacher (Hatha Yoga) QLS Level 4) from the British School of Yoga, training for 5 years. In addition, I am a member of the British Wheel of Yoga and have completed their Foundation Courses 1 and 2 (120 hours). I am also a member of The Subtle Yoga Resilience Society, founded by Kristine Kaoverii Weber.
I continue to develop and further my skills through additional training courses, including a Yoga Alliance Restorative Yoga Training Certificate (2023) and an academic course with Yogic Studies on the history of postural yoga: YS 105 A Brief History of Asana (2024).
